into the blue by SGA-Maddin into the blue by SGA-Maddin
Here my latest Artwork it´s a fictional Stargate Atlantis scene "Into the Blue";

made with Photoshop: Planets, Starfield, Postwork...
made with Apophysis: fractal nebulars
made with Cinema 4d: Deadalus; lighting, modelling...
worktime: 12 hours or more..

Criticism and comments are very wellcome!

EDIT1: v1.1 of the pic: I improved some details... but I wasn´t able to improve the clouds very good because I just forgot how I made this planet exactly. I was able to create better clouds but I wasn´t able to add them... but the next picture with clouds will come.

This artwork is the reason why I started modeling a variant of the Daedalus. Great work!

thx for the comments and yes the mainplanet isn´t very good... it was difficult to work in a so large resolution and find textures which work... maybe I will improve the planet/ clouds a bit... or I just blur it...

@nctrns:
I dont place the whole ship into the pic because I think this position and this light is ok... It would look emty if you can see the whole ship because I would have to scall it smaller. In this pic I wanted to show the top deck and a nice gloss at the deck..

Jaw dropping.
But why did you compose the scene in such a way that the Deadalus isn't a 100% in the frame?

I love the detail on the ship, it's a brilliant effort. However I strongly suggest and agree with the person above me - the planet looks pixelated and low quality in places and needs some more work. Other than that it's just incredible! :)

You should blurr the background planet to gain som depth-of-field because this way it just looks pixelated. Otherwise nice work!
